Prepare a useful load list

Turn appliance names into a useful starting point for an assessment.

Record the appliance, not just the room

List each appliance, quantity, rated power from its label and the hours you expect to use it. Add a photograph of an unclear label instead of guessing. Mark which loads must work during an outage.

Separate power from energy

Watts describe power. Watt-hours describe energy over time. A 60 W device used for 5 hours accounts for 300 Wh before system losses. Starting demand and simultaneous use still need a separate inverter assessment.

Bring your routine into the brief

  • Which appliances run together?
  • Which operate mainly in daylight?
  • What must continue overnight?
  • What existing equipment will remain?

Use the load-list tool to prepare your assessment. It organises information; it does not provide a final system size.
